This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise for those who have witnessed the steady boom in tech startups on the southern part of Vancouver Island lately.

If you’re looking to launch your very own tech company, the good news is, you’re already in one of the best cities in the country to do so!

According to a study conducted by prominent business-to-business comparison site Expert Market, Victoria ranks #13 among 25 of the most tech-savvy cities in Canada.

Their report rates cities based on seven factors relating to the tech industry: availability of tech talent, how entrepreneurial the city is, availability of amount of venture capital, internet download speed, and the cost of living for potential employees.

With the list being dominated by cities in Ontario, Victoria is one of the only three cities in British Columbia that made the list.
