Victoria Wild ARC facility urgently needs funds to repair roof

Share

The BC SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) in Victoria is in dire need of roof repairs.

According to a press release, the facility in Metchosin has been providing a shelter for orphaned or injured wild animals for 21 years.

Now the roof of the building is aging and needs repairs, prompting the SPCA to call for donations from the general public.

Contributions will be matched (up to $10,000) thanks to a gift from a veteran Wild ARC volunteer, Birthe Levie.

“The main facility is where Wild ARC house their most vulnerable patients – including newborn baby birds and mammals that require near-constant feedings, and patients that require medical treatment,” reads the press release.

It’ll take about $20,000 to repair the roof. Click here to make a donation today.
