West Shore RCMP is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in a driver being injured.

On August 13th, at around 12:05 p.m. witnesses told police a late model red Subaru station wagon had turned right at a high rate of speed from Watkiss Way onto Burnside Rd in View Royal.

The driver cut between two cars that were making a left turn and clipped a grey car causing moderate rear end damage. The driver of the grey car was transported to hospital – the seriousness of the injuries was not released.

The suspect vehicle was last seen speeding away southbound on Burnside Rd heading towards Saanich with damage to the front end and driver’s side headlight.

“We are looking for the public’s help in finding the driver, any piece of information they can provide will help,” said Cst. Matt Baker of the West Shore RCMP.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
