This Victoria eatery was named one of the best new restaurants in Canada

Air Canada has just announced the top 10 best new restaurants in Canada in 2018, and one restaurant in Victoria has made the cut.

The ranking was narrowed down from a selection of 30 new eateries, and Victoria’s Courtney Room came in at #10.

The restaurants were selected by writers from Air Canada who anonymously dined at the 30 new spots before coming up with the ranked list based on their ingredients, service, locations, and the vision of the chef.

It is comprised of restaurants from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec, and Ontario.

The Courtney Room, a restaurant within the Magnolia Hotel and Spa, is located on Courtney St and first opened its doors in Spring 2018.

It occupies the dining space that formerly belonged to Catalano Restaurant and Cicchetti bar.
