You can trick or treat at Government House on Halloween

Share

Halloween is right around the corner, and planning your optimal trick or treating route is a must.

This year, Government House is giving away free candy to kids who drop by between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., where B.C.’s lieutenant governor, Janet Austin, will be handing out treats.

Pumpkins carved by local Island Cub Scouts and Brownies will also be on display, giving these little artists a chance to shine.

Austin was appointed B.C.’s lieutenant governor in March 2018, and has a history of community advocacy. She was awarded the Order of British Columbia, and has received Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee and Diamond Jubilee medals.

If you’re looking for more Halloween activities, don’t worry, we’ll be posting a list of things to do on Wednesday soon.
