The Victoria Humane Society has been flooded with inquires from people who want to take home one (or more) of eleven orphaned Golden Retriever puppies in their care.
The puppies were orphaned when their mother became distressed while giving birth. She underwent surgery but unfortunately did not survive the operation.
The litter was nursed by a Bernese mountain dog who had just given birth to her own nine pups. The Goldens were then put into foster care, where they’ve been growing strong and healthy over the past two months.
Now that they’re ready for adoption, the Victoria Humane Society expects to receive hundreds of applications from people who want to take them home.
And when you see these photos, you’ll want to send in an application of your own!
“PLEASE understand, if you don’t get chosen, it doesn’t mean you aren’t a great owner ….there is only so many puppies!” the society wrote on their website and Facebook page.
To apply for one of these adorable fur babies, visit their website and specify “Golden Litter” where it asks for the name of the dog.
