Corey Hart coming to Victoria this summer

Corey Hart, of “Sunglasses at Night” fame, is coming to Victoria this summer as part of his Never Surrender Tour.

Hart will perform at the Save-On-Foods-Memorial-Centre on June 24th, and this tour will be the first that the OG Canadian musician has put on since 1986.

Over his 20+ year career, Hart has sold over 16 million records worldwide and amassed 9 consecutive US Billboard Top 40 Hits. He’s also and scored 31 top 40 singles in Canada, including 12 – Top 10 Hits.

As far as awards go, Hart is a Grammy nominated ASCAP, multiple Juno and Quebec ADISQ award winner, and was inducted into Canada’s Walk Of Fame back in 2016.

Hart’s debut single, “Sunglasses At Night” was an international sensation and became a staple on MTV during the summer of 1984. The track landed him the first ever Juno awarded in the Video Of The Year category that same year.

His sophomore album “Boy In The Box” also reached Diamond status (1 million plus sales) faster than any other Canadian artist in history.

The Never Surrender Tour will kick off in St. Johns, NL on May 31st 2019 (Corey’s Birthday) and will follow the May 3rd release of his new record, Dreaming Time Again.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale next Friday on Live Nation.
