Police searching for suspect who broke into the Woodgrove Centre in Nanaimo (VIDEO)

Nanaimo RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a male suspect who broke into the Woodgrove Centre after hours and stole several items in early November.

The suspect gained access to the shopping centre sometime between 5:30 a.m. – 6 a.m. on November 4th, 2018.

While inside, he swiped a number of sunglassesand cell phones from two seperate kiosks.

Officers were told that 34 pairs of Prada and Burberry sunglasses were stolen from the Sunglasses Hut kiosk, the total value of which is roughly $13,000. Several demo phones were also taken from a Fido kiosk, and a pair of red bolt cutters were nabbed from a maintenance shop.

The video, provided by Nanaimo RCMP, shows the suspect wearing a black shirt, black track pants, black/grey/white shoes, a balaclava, and a backpack.
