Every year, BC Transit brings vacates a double decker bus and invites the city to fill it up with non-perishable food, toys and clothing for the less fortunate.

For their 17th year of ‘Stuff the Bus’, the company was able to collect 3,928 pounds of food and over $1,330 to be donated to the Mustard Seed Food Bank and The Salvation Army’s Stan Hagen Centre for Families.

Their charitable initiative saw an entire double decker bus stuffed full of goodies to brighten up the holiday season for local families in need.

According to BC Transit spokesperson Jonathan Dyck, the event was extremely well attended, with both regular donors and new participants showing up.

“We are very thankful to everyone in Victoria for their generosity and support,” said Dyck.
