City of Victoria seeking local musicians and community programmers

Share

“Calling all musicians and community programmers!” says the city of Victoria.

If you’ve lived on the island for long, you’ve probably heard that Victoria hosts free outdoor concerts and activities during the summer.

In preparation for this upcoming summer, the city is looking for new local musicians and community programmers to join the 2019 roster.

If you’re an upcoming rockstar (or jazz musician, or swing, or whatever artist you may be),
musician applicants will be assessed by the individual or band’s broad appeal and technical skills.

Submissions will be reviewed by a team of City of Victoria staff and local music professionals.

If you’ve got some great community event ideas, the community programmer roster submissions will be assessed on the creativity and quality of the activity proposed, and the applicant’s experience with similar programs.

Applications for both positions are open until January 20th, 2019, and there’s no limit to how many people might be added to the new year’s roster!

If submissions are sent in late they’ll still be accepted, but you might only be accepted for the 2020 rosters.

Further information can be found here, and chosen applicants will be contacted in early March 2019
