One unlucky boat captain is in for a unhappy surprise when they return to their sailboat in Cadboro Bay.
A video posted to Facebook this morning shows the sailboat being pushed near a rocky and driftwood-covered shore.
“Is this your sailboat? It’s free floating and aground in Cadboro Bay,” reads the video caption.
According to the video uploader, the sailboat has no name and no registration number, and marine authorities have been alerted to the situation.

The appearance of the drifting boat coincides with Environment Canada’s wind warnings, and BC Ferries’ sailing cancellations due to adverse weather.
Off the water, the high winds are responsible for knocking out the power of over 100,000 residents of Vancouver Island.
