Masked suspect breaks into Tim Hortons in View Royal on New Year’s Day

When most people on the island were busy ringing in the New Year, one man was busy breaking into the Tim Hortons located at Eagle Creek Village, and police are investigating.

West Shore RCMP say that they responded to a break and enter just after midnight on January 1st, and Tim Hortons surveillance footage shows a masked man breaking into the coffee shop at 12:18 a.m.

Once inside, the suspect stole approximately $200 and “$100 worth of merchandise” the Eagle Creek Tim Hortons manager told Victoria Buzz.

Police say that they canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect at the time.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, grey shoes, orange gloves, and a face mask at the time.

The investigation is ongoing.
