Two Nanaimo men have now been arrested following a break and enter in a Nanaimo home on Christmas morning.

Nanaimo RCMP have arrested 21-year old Axel Wolfgang Lambert and 20-year old Justin Feusse for stealing presents from under the Christmas tree and even the stockings hanging off the walls in the family’s living room.

On Tuesday, officers carried out a search warrant of Lambert’s residence and arrested him without incident.

Last Thursday, January 3rd Nanaimo RCMP issued an arrest warrant for Feusse in connection to the break and enter. Later that day, the 20-year old turned himself in.

Lambert has been charged with one count of break and enter and will be appearing in Nanaimo Provincial court on Wednesday to determine whether he will be held in custody or not.

Feusse, who is currently in police custody, has also been charged with one count of break and enter.

RCMP are continuing an investigation into Feusse’s activities as further charges could be laid against him in connection to other property-related offences. He is scheduled to appear in Nanaimo provincial court on Thursday.

The Christmas day break and enter investigation is still ongoing, police say.

“How do I explain this to my boys”, said Joseph Lanz, father and owner of the Nanaimo home that was targeted by the thieves. None of the gifts have since been recovered.
