Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Greater Victoria and the southern Gulf Islands warning of possible strong winds developing overnight.
According to the statement, a cold air mass is spreading through the BC interior and is expected to reach the coast tonight. Winds could gust up to 80 km/h by Monday morning.
Winds should diminish by the afternoon but remain brisk through Tuesday morning.
