Watch these dancing refs steal the show at a minor league hockey game in Colwood (VIDEO)

While some referees are the recipients of anger from the game’s stands, this set of refs brought nothing but smiles from the crowd at yesterday’s Juvenile division hockey game in Colwood.

The match was the first playoff game of the season between the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies and Saanich Braves at the Q Centre, and in between whistle blows the referees couldn’t help but bust a move.

The dancing was so good that spectator Tianna Shaw had to take a video.

“This isn’t the first time I’ve seen them dancing either!” Tianna told Victoria Buzz.

Tianna’s brother plays for the Juan de Fuca Grizzlies, and according to her, the same refs are usually working for each game, and are usually working their bodies to the music too.

“I’m not sure what their favourite song is but the dancing occurs pretty much anytime the music comes on!” she said.

“It’s super entertaining to the crowd, and really makes the game that much more exciting to watch.”

Dancing’s already hard, and we’re impressed they can do it so well with skates on the ice.
