International Women’s Day 2019

Come celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day with activities at Victoria City Hall!

The event will include art, poetry, music, performance arts, and drumming, as well as recognizing local achievements the challenges women face.

Victoria Beer Week – Drink Your Hops & Eat ‘Em Too

While Victoria is familiar with crisp hoppy beers, did you know you can cook with the ingredient too?

Sip and taste your way through a diverse range of hoppy beers and hop-infused bites prepared by the Victoria Public Market’s vendors.

FIRST Canadian Pacific Regional Robotics Competition

BC’s first ever Pacific Regional robotics competition continues!

Over 30 teams of high school students from across the province have brought their self-built and programmed robots to compete in obstacle courses and tasks in the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

  • When: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Where: Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre, 1925 Blanshard Street

CreativFestival WEST

Come explore one of Western Canada’s most popular sewing and crafting festivals at Pearkes Arena!

Exhibitors will showcase sewing, scrapbooking, quilting, knitting, needlework, fiber arts, beading and paper crafting, and more. There will also be hands on classes, seminars, and free stage shows!

  • When: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: Pearkes Recreational Centre, 3100 Tillicum Road

Womxn’s Week: Captain Marvel Screening

Get ready for trip to the silver screen as Womxn’s Week heads to Silver City to see Marvel’s largest female superhero blockbuster, Captain Marvel!

The group will be carpooling from the Victoria Event Centre, and afterwards there will be a special woman-themed dance party by Temple back at VEC.

Don’t forget to pre-purchase tickets to the movie at Silvercity!

When: Carpool leaves VEC at 6:30 p.m. sharp, movie begins at 7:00 p.m.

  • Temple: 10:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
