Need to scratch that shopping itch without shelling out some major dough for high priced, brand-new items? On the hunt for that perfect vintage piece to complete your wardrobe?

Have something you’d like to consign or donate? Check out these thrift and consignment shops, all of which are locally owned or non-profits that support their community.

WIN

Women In Need (WIN) thrift shops are non-profit and support women, non-binary, and Two-Spirit escaping violent situations with programs that help them move out of transition housing, acquire household items and financial aid, and train in communication and career skills.

  • Where: Multiple locations, including 160-174 Wilson Street, 1803 Cook Street, 785 Pandora Avenue, 129-735 Goldstream Avenue
  • Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Beacon Community Services

Beacon Community Services thrift shops are non-profit and donate all their proceeds to other non-profits and local programs like Out of the Rain, a shelter for homeless youth in Victoria.

  • Where: Multiple locations, including 7105-B West Saanich Road, 7060 West Saanich Road, 9756 Third Street, 9781 Third Street, 9760 Fourth Street, 2676 Quadra Street, 715 Pandora Avenue
  • Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The Velvet Crease

The Velvet Crease specializes in designer consignment clothing, They also sell art, like stained glass sculptures, handmade jewelry, and paintings.

  • Hours: Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m
    (closed Sunday)

The Patch

The Patch is a funky space that focuses on vintage and recycled clothing. Their most recent imports include high-waisted Levi’s shorts and graphic tees circa the ’80s.

Vintage Funk

Vintage Funk sells clothing and jewelry alongside vintage records, movies, and collectibles. They have a flair for the nostalgic and post updates on their collection multiple times a week.

    Saturday, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Good Things Consignments

Good Things is a consignment and antique shop that specializes in a staggering range of products. They carry everything from furniture to jewelry to toys to kitchenware. With a 60-day turnover, there’s a high chance of finding a good deal here!

  • Hours: Monday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

My Sister’s Closet

My Sister’s Closet has new and used clothing for all ages, and keeps their collection current with a 30-day turnover and a focus on seasonal wear.

Sailor Jack Consignment

Sailor Jack specializes in clothing for new and growing families with a variety of garments and supplies for babies and kids as well as maternity wear.

TRIG Vintage
