It’s not every day we get an award-winning artist such as Patti Austin visiting our fair city, and when she’s alongside Filipino singer and performer Ian Veneracion, it makes for an unforgettable evening that you will not want to miss.

Patti Austin is the voice behind hit songs you may know such as, “Baby Come To Me”, “Through the Test of Time”, “Say You Love Me”, “In My Life” and many more, and Ian Veneracion has been called the “Philippines’ Original Heartthrob”, also making a name there as a well-known television and film actor!
The pair is a part of the upcoming Soul & Heart Tour, which will begin in Vancouver on April 26th, and will be presented by Mabuhay Enterprise, in cooperation with the Victoria Filipino Canadian Caregivers Association (VFCCA), an organization that supports caregivers, temporary workers and new immigrants from the Philippines.
The tour stops here in Victoria on April 27th, and is being held The Farquhar at UVic – the show kicks off at 7:30 p.m. that Saturday, and tickets are still available!
The duo will also be joined by special guest LA Santos, a recording artist from the Philippines who serves as an inspiration to many because he used music to overcome ADHD and Autism.
Opening acts include Fifth Street, a Victoria-based vocal quintet that combines the worlds of pop, jazz and R&B in perfect five-part harmony; Thia, an 18 year-old UBC student who sings in clubs such as the UBC Jazz Club, the UBC Music Initiative, and UBC A Cappella and Geralyn, a Psychology student at UVic who has been singing for as long as she can remember.
Tickets start at $55.00 each for main floor seating, and premium tickets are $85.00 and include a group photo on stage with the artists after the concert!
