Campbell River RCMP have arrested three individuals as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

On Thursday, April 4 at 12:25 p.m., police identified and stopped a vehicle through their investigation and proceeded to arrest one female and two males for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

According to Sgt. Dave Johnson, officers also seized an undisclosed amount of cash, fentanyl and methamphetamine during the arrest.

Johnson told Victoria Buzz that all three individuals were in their mid-30s and were later released on documents compelling them to court with attached conditions they are to abide by.

“The ongoing investigation into drug trafficking in Campbell River is going to continue – this is just one arrest,” said Johnson.

Anyone with information about suspicious incidents related to the local drug trafficking trade is asked to contact their local police detachment or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
