44-year-old woman arrested after stabbing in Central Saanich home Friday

A 44-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly stabbed a man at a residence in Central Saanich Friday evening.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Sidney/North Saanich RCMP responded to reports of a disturbance at a mobile home trailer in the 7700-block of Central Saanich Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with stab wounds who told police that the woman responsible for his injuries had fled the scene. He was then transported to hospital.

The next day, Sidney/North Saanich RCMP executed a search warrant on the property to aid in their investigation. Later that day, Victoria Police found the suspect in the city and arrested her.

“[The suspect] has since been released and charged with aggravated assault,” said Cst. Meighan de Pass of the Sidney/North Saanich RCMP.

Police say that the two people involved in the incident are known to each and that there is no danger to the public.
