Old-Growth Forests Webinar Series

Vancouver Island’s old-growth forests are being logged at an alarming rate, three times faster than tropical rainforests, and the BC government is not responding appropriately to this crisis.

We need more British Columbians armed with information and ready to take action to protect what remains of these unique ecosystems. Learn how you can defend old-growth forests in a fun and info series!

Esquimalt Farmers Market Indoor Market

EFM supports local growers and producers and those who engage in environmentally sound, farming practices. They encourage backyard farmers to help nourish their community with their quality products.

EFM is a proud member of the BCAFM, and were also awarded Best Farmers’ Market and Market Manager, 2017!

Venezuela Fundraiser

Join Bard & Banker in raising money for underprivileged youth in Venezuela through music, drinks and food. On May 2nd they will be serving traditional Arepas, and all proceeds from the sale of Arepas and pints of Phillips Brewing & Malting Co. & Hoyne Brewing Company will go directly to the cause. They will also have Latin music by Miguelito Valdes & friends from 7pm, a silent auction, 50/50 draw and more.

Party Like It’s 1984 – 35th Birthday Celebration

Vancouver Island Brewing is throwing a party for its 35th birthday, and you’re invited! Born in 1984, the elder millennial of breweries has dusted off its party pants and is back better than ever. With a new look, new brews, and shiny new tasting room for you to come enjoy!

Tickets include appetizers, brewery tours, beer, and a commemorative glass. Optional to dress like it’s 1984.

Bystander Intervention Workshop

What can you do when you witness public instances of anti-Muslim, anti-Black, anti-Trans, anti-Indigenous or any other form of interpersonal violence and racial harassment? This workshop provides tips on how to intervene while considering the safety of everyone involved. It includes resources and tools, group discussion and role plays.
