Victoria Police have arrested two people for charges of drug trafficking after determining that they allegedly had ties to organized crime in the Lower Mainland.
On Wednesday, May 15th, a man and a woman were arrested by the VicPD Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), in coordination with the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team (GVERT) due in part to their alleged ties to organized crime.

The investigation centred around a Victoria area drug line believed to be set up by the Lower Mainland gang “the Brothers Keepers.”
The suspects were arrested after VicPD and GVERT executed a search warrant in the 200-block of Battleford Avenue in Saanich.
They also recovered drugs including fentanyl, cocaine, nearly $15,000 in cash, and two vehicles, one of which is being recommended for civil forfeiture.
Both individuals have since been released and investigators are recommending drug trafficking charges.
