Saturday

The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria is kicking off their summer with contemporary art, including three new exhibitions that are entirely admission by donation today!

Art pieces at the new exhibits include large sculptures, video art, 3D-printed designs, and more.

Triangle RV Destruction Night at Western Speedway

Fans of hard hitting vehicle spectacles will want to check out Western Speedway tonight!

The ‘Destruction Night’ includes a tire frying burnout competition and a “no holds barred” total destruction derby featuring demo cars, trucks, and more.

9th Annual Vintage Summer Fair

The 9th Annual Vintage Summer Fair is returning to downtown Victoria all weekend!

On both Saturday and Sunday visitors can check out two floors of vintage clothing, jewelry, hats, accessories, collectibles, housewares, home & garden decor, treats, vinyl, books, and more with this year’s theme of ‘Nautical & Nice’.

Milkcow Grand Opening

Grab yourself a free ice cream cone at Victoria’s newest Korean dessert shop, Milkcow!

The first 100 customers to arrive will receive a free cone. But if you’re not one of the earliest birds, don’t worry, Milkcow will be holding a buy one get one free ice cream special all weekend!

HarbourCats vs. Corvallis Fireworks Game

Cheer on Victoria’s HarbourCats baseball team as they battle it out against Oregon’s Corvallis Knights at the first fireworks game of the season!

Following the game, fans can catch a dazzling fireworks display at Royal Athletic Park. The explosive show is the first of four that takes place this summer!

Cecelia Ravine Grand Opening

Head down to Cecelia Ravine Park for free hotdogs, refreshments, games, and more at the unveiling of Victoria’s newest playground!

the community is invited to join Mayor Lisa Helps and members of the Council to explore the newly expanded Cecelia Ravine park area, which includes a new playground, parking lot, washrooms, and more.

Folktoria 2019

The Greater Victoria Folk Festival Society is hosting Folktoria 2019, with an emphasis on multiculturalism. Ethnic groups from many different nations will perform wearing incredible costumes.

Teach your kids to ride dirt bikes at Westshore Motocross

Open all weekend, West Shore Motocross offers dirt bike riding lessons for anyone aged 4 years and older. All safety gear is supplied during this 30 minute family friendly activity!

Heartmelt Motel at Mayfair Shopping Centre

Don’t miss your last chance to explore Mayfair Shopping Centre’s Heartmelt Motel!

The pop-up installation is the perfect spot to take a couple of quality pics for your ‘gram or just to hangout somewhere rad. If you haven’t checked out the interactive motel we’d recommend going soon because it’ll officially close its doors after Sunday.

Van Isle Comic Con

Don’t miss Sidney’s massive Van Isle Comic Con! This one day, one-of-a-kind event brings creators and fans together with panels, artists, games and so much more all under one roof!

Guests this year include Nick Kondo, a senior animator for Sony ImageWorks who worked on the Oscar-nominated film, “Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse”. But best of all, entry is into the con is by donation!

World Oceans Day Fisherman’s Wharf YYJ 2019

Head down to Fisherman’s Wharf for a fun free day of education and activities for both children and adults!

There will be plenty to do on the wharf, including seeing a life-sized killer whale skeleton, talking with and watching live divers, sea life hold in ‘touch tanks’, and more.

Cram the Canoe

Come support your local food bank and cram the canoe full of non-perishable food items with the West Shore RCMP!

“This beautiful 29 foot long canoe belongs to the BC RCMP Indigenous Policing Services and was lent to us for this event. We have all heard of ‘Cram the Cruiser’ but we invite you to ‘Cram the Canoe’ and help provide meals to those in need,” said Cst. Cole Brewer of the First Nations Community Policing unit at the West Shore RCMP.

Hardhats in the Ballpark

Head down to Royal Athletic Park for a construction-themed game at the baseball diamond today!

Cheer on the Victoria HarbourCats as they continue to battle it out against the Washington Corvallis Knights! As part of hardhat day, the first 800 fans to walk through gates will receive of a free one-of-a-kind construction themed bobble head of “Mr HarbourCat”, Alex De Goti.

Death by Drag VII

Don’t miss this heart stopping drag show hosted by Haus of Occult and Copper Owl!

Community Carnival at Rudd Park

Come for an awesome summer afternoon of family fun in the Burnside community. Enjoy Rudd Park (Boleskine Rd & Irma St) filled with music and child-oriented carnivals games.

The kids will earn tickets for prize bags. The adults can enter to win gift bags and certificates from generous community donors.
