UPDATE: Man who couldn’t tell police who he was has been indentified

Update: Excellent news from Victoria Police! The gentleman who couldn’t tell police who he was due to a medical crisis has been identified.

VicPD officers are asking for your help in identifying a man who, due to a medical issue, is unable to identify himself.

Officers first encountered the man after receiving a call at 7:15 p.m. last night for assistance with an older man who appeared confused. When officers arrived at the 600-block of Douglas Street they encountered the caller with the man.

The man appeared to be in a medical crisis which rendered him unable to identify himself to officers. He was transported to hospital, where he remains.

The man is described as an older Caucasian male, approximately 70 to 75-years-old. He is bald, with short grey hair around the fringes of his head. The man wears frameless, bifocal glasses. He is of medium height and medium build.

He was wearing navy pants, white shoes, a checkered blue shirt, a blue jacket and a white hat when he was discovered.
