This poor lost dog was found in Esquimalt dragging a 6 foot chain on Monday by an Esquimalt resident. When the chain was removed, it was discovered he had a massive infection on his neck and required immediate vet care.

He is now in the care of Victoria Humane Society and and they have named him ‘Justice’. He is expected to make a fully recovery.

While the society are waiting to see if anyone comes forward for him; Penny Stone, Founder & Executive Director at Victoria Humane Society tells Victoria Buzz that while they would like to find the person responsible so hopefully they will be charged, her fear is the owner would have legal right to take the dog back and she hopes she never sees that.

The society are looking for a temporary foster home where Justice can heal and learn to live indoors. They say He needs someone home most of the time and who can monitor his wounds. If you feel you can help this boy please email: victoriahumanesociety@shaw.ca

If you know who is responsible, you can also contact the above email  and VHS will forward to the proper authority.
