Woodwynn Farms is hosting its very own holiday craft fair fundraiser, ‘Homeful for the Holidays‘. This event will feature live music, a silent auction, fun activities, delicious food and local vendors. It’s a family-friendly event that can’t be missed this winter season!
Woodwynn Farms is a therapeutic community for the homeless located in Central Saanich. We are unique in that we not only provide a shelter, but provide a long-term home, therapeutic programs and a way of life to help rebuild self-worth and confidence for the homeless.
Due to extremely dry weather this past summer, the farm well dried up and 6 acres of crops were destroyed. This greatly reduced the food production on the farm by the participants as a sustainable method of food sourcing.
This year they decided to throw a holiday crafts fair as a fundraiser in order to raise funds for building a well to reduce the damage of potential droughts in the future.
Tickets are $5 and include a free tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Tickets can be purchased at the door or through contacting one of the hosts.
All proceeds of the event will be going towards the cause.
