Dream CO Circus orograms promises it will get you laughing, moving, and improving your agility and body.

Every 1st and 3rd Saturday, 3 pm – 7 pm at the Fernwood Community Centre, starting Saturday Jan 16th and running til April 16th, with an end of program Show, featuring students who have attended the full program, plus a dance party.

“Flow arts aka circus skills are an amazing source of relaxation, confidence building and healthy fun,” writes event organize, Lilith Klassen.  “Any form of flow will get your body moving, stimulate your mind and is an awesome way to teach spatial awareness and physics.”

Lilith Klassen,  has volunteered as DreamCO her circus performances, writing and graphic design, PR, deco and event design and as a booking agency to aid artists in attaining their dreams of living off their arts and a host of other community causes as since 2002.

She will be working in tandem with a rotating team of highly skilled teachers of the circus arts, who have been tried and tested at DreamCO events in the past.

Each class has two or three teachers who are doing specific skills, especially in the advanced classes. There will always be a high level poi, hula hoop and staff teachers along with other art forms like juggling.

At the first class, Klassen will be asking a series of questions from the attendees as to what specific artforms they are interested in and will be hiring teachers from Dream CO’s database of hundreds of fantastic teachers according to what attendees wish to learn and will be posting up teachers schedules as well on the Facebook event page and with an info sheet at the FCC Front Desk, where pre-registrations happen.

Some of the feature teachers for this Saturday will be Trina Titus on hula hoops, Maitiu Davydiuk on contact staff and dragon staff, Ansuz Gipson on poi and myself as rotational teacher of poi, hula hoop and staff. We also have the highly skilled First Responder Ryan Carlow on duty for First Aid.

You can pre-register at the FCC Front Desk for a $5 discount on each class or jam, if you know you are coming. Drop-INs completely welcome as well, money and attendance will be taken at start of class or jam.

“Many attendees want to sign up for a one hour jam and a class, which is why there is both an afternoon and a night time jam.”

Also, there has been a high degree of interest from homeschoolers in regards to a Thursday or Friday afternoon class as well, which we can definitely do! The 4 Thursdays in February 1-2 pm is what is being currently discussed.
