Snow has been falling around the region since about 9 p.m. Thursday night which has lead to some closures and delays this morning.
The following closures and delays have been set for Friday. We will continue to update this list as notifications are announced.
- Victoria Transit buses are running only on main roads at this time due to snowy road conditions . Expect detours and delay
- CFB Esquimalt is closed. Base officials are asking only critical personnel come to work today due to hazardous road conditions.
- There have been a few cancelled flights at Victoria International Airport is reporting a few cancelled and delayed flights early this morning. Check with the airport or your air carrier for details on your flight.
- Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence is closed.
Schools:
- School District 61 in Victoria is open
- Saanich School District 63 is OPEN and buses are running
- Sooke School District 62 is OPEN and buses are running.
- Lighthouse Christian Academy in Langford is closed.

Victoria’s Christ Church Cathedral School is closed.

School District 64 says Salt Spring Island schools will is closed today. Galiano, Mayne, Pender, Saturna also closed.
- Cowichan Valley School District 79 is closed today and no school buses will be running.
- Sprott Shaw College on Douglas Street is closed.
- UVic and Camosun are both open.

École Victor-Brodeur in Esquimalt is closed.
- Port Alberni Schools are open.
- The Nanaimo School district says schools are open today.
