Booker T. Jones and his band took to the stage at the Alix Goolden Hall Friday night to perform for his first time in Victoria since 2009.

Presented by Victoria Ska Society, Booker T. and his band (including his son Ted Jones) delighted the SOLD OUT crowd with hits like “Purple Rain, Hip Hug-Her, Green Onions” and many more.

Opening the show for Mr. Jones and his band was none other than Metchosin’s very own Jesse Roper. Jesse admitted very early on in the show while sipping on a hot cup of tea that, he had woken up that morning with a cold.

That didn’t stop him from putting on a spot on perfect performance, not missing one beat along with band mates Matt Reid(Bass) and Steve Ling(Drums).
