Well, the sun was good while it lasted! The next several days are calling for rain, but we all know you can never trust a weather forecaster! Here are 8 things to do around Victoria this weekend. Feel free to add more in the comments area below.

Lego Mania Competition

  • What: “Life in the Sea” is this year’s Lego theme. Masterpieces created by kids ages 5-14 years old. Meet LEGO Certified Professional Robin Sather and watch him build a new LEGO sculpture.
  • When: Saturday March 19 – Sunday March 20 during mall hours.
  • Where: Tillicum Centre, 3170 Tillicum Road

Victoria Comic Book Expo

  • What: Experience the wide universe of comic books. Plenty of exhibitors, over 1000s of examples from all eras. Toys, non-sports cards and other collectibles. Buy, sell, trade or just browse. FREE admission.
  • When: Sunday March 20 from 11:00-4:00pm
  • Where: Comfort Inn & Conference Centre, 3020 Blanshard Street

Victoria Royals vs Everett Silvertips (SOLD OUT)

  • What: The final game of the regular season! Come support your league-leading Victoria Royals!  Puck drops at 7:05pm, get your tickets here.
  • When: Saturday March 19
  • Where: Save On Foods Memorial Centre, 1925 Blanshard Street

Victoria Craft Beer & Culinary Tour

  • What: Tour highlights – 7 local craft beer samplings from 4 stops,  3 food samples, guided tour of historic Lower Johnson and Market Square, history and stories about the local craft beer scene and an Art Tour at Swan’s Hotel & Brewpub. $65, more information here.
  • When: Sunday March 20 from 3:00-5:00pm
  • Where: Tour starts at Hawk & Hen Restaurant, 531 Yates Street

World Water Day Paddle Board Cleanup & BBQ

  • What: In celebration of World Water Day, South Island SUP and Surfrider Vancouver Island are joining up for a paddle board clean up along the Gorge Waterway. Also cleaning up the waterway on foot. So either bring a paddle board or some gum boots & your friends! Post clean up BBQ by donation. 10 paddle boards available for use by donation, contact Brian at braymer2@gmail.com.

  • Where: 80 Regatta Landing – meet by the Railyards in Vic West

A Toy Story on Ice

  • What: Presented by the Racquet Club of Victoria skating club. “Lost and Found” is about a group of toys that go searching around the globe for their comrade that has gone missing. Tickets $15, available here.
  • When: Saturday March 19, showtimes at 2:00pm and 7:00pm; Sunday March 20, showtime at 1:00pm
  • Where: Archie Browning Sports Centre, 1151 Esquimalt Road

Metchosin Hall Spring Fling Arts & Crafts Show

  • What: An old fashioned community hall, filled with handmade crafts, work from local artists, one of a kind gifts and good cheer. Food available at concession. FREE admission, wheelchair accessible.
  • When: Saturday March 19 – Sunday March 20 from 10:00am-4:30pm
  • Where: Metchosin Community Hall, 4401 William Head Road

Salmon Saturday 

  • What: Drop by the Charters Interpretive Centre to check out demonstration hatchery and the displays with a CRD Regional Parks naturalist. FREE drop in event for ages 5 years +. Wheelchair accessible.
  • When: Saturday March 20 from 11:00am-2:00pm
  • Where: Charters Interpretive Centre, 2896 Sooke River Road
