The BC Coroners Service has released the identity of a man who was found floating in the water about one kilometre from Ogden Point on Feb. 29, 2016.
He was Ron Jack Aswoodman, aged 44, of Victoria.
The body was discovered by a passing pilot boat about 10:15 a.m. The Victoria fire boat, with police and firefighters aboard, retrieved the body and brought it ashore.
It is believed that he died approximately six weeks previously.
The BC Coroners Service and Victoria City Police continue to investigate this death.
