A long-time restaurant located in the heart of Old Town Victoria at Bastion Square has announced it is now closed after being in business for 28 years.

Camille’s Restaurant is nestled into the cozy nooks of a 1898 heritage building and was known for its unique combination of fine dining with a comfortable, casual atmosphere. It was unable to negotiate a new lease that would help it continue to do business, citing renovations in other suites took its toll on the restaurant.

The company posted the following statement on their Facebook page today:

We regret to inform everyone that Camille’s is now closed. After months of unsuccessful negotiations, we could no longer continue to do business in the existing space. As construction to the other suites in the building took place, the effects of those renovations took their toll on our restaurant and we could no longer continue in good conscience, despite the positive reviews from our local health inspector.

We are proud to have served and supported our community for these last 28 years and look forward to doing so once again in the near future.

We thank you, for all of your support and patronage over the last few decades.
