The Saanich Baptist Church is hosting an “Eggs Benefit” this weekend to raise funds that will go towards replacing a playground structure at Copley Park, destroyed by arson last summer.
Make a donation and enjoy an omelet with your choice of toppings, made by your ‘celebrity’ chef. All donations will go towards the new playground.
The park was hit by a firebug twice within a week and at the time, the damage to the structure was estimated between $35,000 and $40,000.
Organizers of the event hope to raise $20,000 for the rebuild.
