Alleged graffiti suspect turns himself in after seeing his photo

An alleged graffiti suspect believed to be responsible for numerous “taggings” of public and private property in Victoria and Esquimalt has turned himself in after identifying himself as the person in the photo being distributed by media.

The photo was taken after a witness confronted him after allegedly observing the young man tagging property in the 900-block of Meares Avenue on March 5.

Police say their investigation led them to the same individual being indicated in a number of other incidents of vandalism.

The suspect is described as a young Caucasian male, approximately 20-25 years of age, standing 5’10” with a light to medium build. At the time of the incident the suspect was wearing a blue jacket, salmon-coloured button-up shirt, a grey t-shirt with red image on it, a dark baseball cap with white, red and yellow markings and dark blue pants.
