Julie Lodge was evacuated from Abasand but her car ran out of gas in downtown Fort MacMurray. A driver passing by offered her a ride, and as they sat in gridlocked traffic, she snapped this picture.

90% of Fort McMurray is intact. There are no direct casualties from the wildfire. The tragedy has been contained thanks to a heroic effort from Canadian firefighters and police.
