Whether you are cheering on survivors, walking the track, passing the baton to your teammate, Relay For Life is more than just a cancer walk – it’s a journey.
But after 17 years in Victoria, Relay for Life is in jeopardy of cancellation due to low registration, organizers say.
The major fundraiser usually brings in around $40 million dollars a year, but participation has been declining.
The committee say they are working very hard to make this event a success and are hoping to double the current registration numbers in order to run the event.
A decisions will be made within the next couple of weeks if Relay is a go depending on he registration numbers.
