A Colwood resident is hoping the public can assist in identifying the individuals responsible for flipping his retired neighbour’s vehicle into a ditch on Tuesday evening.

Pat Arseneault, took to Facebook today seeking information on those responsible for flipping his neighbour’s vehicle on Langholme St in Colwood.

He described the owners of the truck as retired Canadian Armed Forces veterans, and the type of people, “who would give you the shirt off their back.”

“So last night some punk ass kids decided it would be fun to flip my neighbour’s truck into the ditch. Dave and Bonnie are both retired Canadian Armed Forces veterans and are amazing people who would give you the shirt off their back. This truck had originally belonged to Bonnie’s dad who is now deceased and because of the close bond she and Dave had with him they kept this truck in mint condition,” Arseneault wrote on Facebook.

The entire incident was captured on camera. According Arseneault, six young adults were recorded on video flipping the truck at 3:01 am.

“Among the damage sustained, the roof was crushed in several places basically making it a write off. This is just a senseless act and those responsible need to be found. Luckily I have a video surveillance system on my property across the street and have the whole incident recorded. It happened at 03:01 am on 29 June on Langholme St in Colwood, there were six boys/hood rats (I’m reluctant to say young men because they don’t deserve the title). I will be turning over the video to the Westshore RCMP, but if anyone has any additional information regarding this please message me privately.”
