Police asking public to be on lookout for stolen car used in Sooke shooting – suspects still at large

Two men remain in hospital in critical condition after being shot in an apparent drive-by shooting in Sooke Tuesday night.

Sooke RCMP received reports of shots fired on Ella Road in Sooke around 9:17pm. On arrival, they found two men on the side of the road, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both are residents of Sooke and were transported to Victoria General Hospital.

Witnesses report three suspects in a sedan fled the scene. Police are looking for the following vehicle which has been reported stolen from Langford – a 2003 KIA Magentis, 4 door sedan, grey in colour, bearing Saskatchewan Licence plates, 404 JZB.

Sooke RCMP are asking the public to be on the look out for this vehicle – if seen please call 911, and do not approach the subjects.

Investigators are presently working to establish descriptions of the suspects in this shooting.
