Share

Phase one of the renovations at Victoria’s Fairmont Empress is complete! We stopped by to take a look at the changes and sample the menu.

There are now distinct dining areas to enjoy. Q at The Empress: Q represents Queen and country, a nod to Queen Victoria, with a modern twist on royalty. Here you can taste the best of the Pacific Northwest in the new restaurant or sip a signature cocktail in Q bar.

Q at The Empress – Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The space has a fresh contemporary feel with natural light, while staying true to the building’s iconic heritage. Rich cherry wood ceilings and spectacularly detailed moldings honor the past, while the finishes bring a modern twist.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus focus on fresh local ingredients with a Pacific Northwest theme. The restaurant has partnerships with Vancouver Island farmers and artisans, and utilizes the chef’s herb and vegetable garden. Sustainably sourced seafood, traditionally raised meats and a wide variety of artisanal offerings complete the menu. We stopped by to sample an exquisite lunch
