Admirals Road has been reopened following a dramatic single-vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened in the 600 block of Admirals Road shortly before 11 am.
According to witnesses, the car was travelling at a normal speed on Admirals Road towards Esquimalt Road, when it struck a median head-on.
The car drove up onto the median striking a well-secured tree and pole, causing the vehicle to roll over – on the other side of the street.
One man was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
Police are thanking members of the Canadian Forces in Esquimalt and residents who came to the man’s aid.
Crash analysts are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
