Toddler found wandering Langford streets safely returned home

A 3 year old toddler was up for an adventurous walk early this morning in Langford. Just after 6:00 am, a member of the Canadian Forces was about to get into his car when he observed the child wearing a diaper only, wandering.

The West Shore RCMP were called and attended. They were able to determine where the toddler’s residence was, which happened to be a few houses down the road.

Officers found the toddler’s home with the garage open. Despite efforts of knocking at the door with no answers, they entered the home through the garage door and found the parents asleep.

Though parents were surprisingly awakened to police returning their child, it was deemed to be an unfortunate case of an adept escaping toddler artist.

We would like to use this as a reminder to parents to properly child proof your residences, states Cst. Alex Bérubé. spokesperson of the West Shore RCMP Detachment. Luckily, the toddler was not harmed.
