Suspects known to police found sitting in stolen truck, officers surround vehicle with guns drawn


An early morning take-down in Sooke over the weekend was captured on film. It shows Sooke RCMP officers surround a stolen truck with guns drawn.

Sooke RCMP officers located the truck around 7:20 am Saturday morning in the driveway of a home on Beecher Bay Road.

Two occupants were with the vehicle, stolen from Langford, and were arrested.

Police located two syringes with unknown substances inside the truck. The vehicles ignition had been compromised by a large screwdriver which was still in the ignition.

Police arrested a 30-year-old male, and a 29-year-old female from Victoria, both are known to police.

They have been charged with of theft over $5000, and possession of stolen property.
