Two year old German Shepard dog stolen in Lantzville

Nanaimo RCMP are investigating another theft of a young dog.

A 2-year-old German Shepard dog is believed to have been stolen from a home on Alger Road in Lantzville on or about Saturday July 30th.

Police said Jaeger is a highly trained Shepard that has never left the owners property unless on a leash. The dog is described as black and tan and his right ear is tattooed with RTY20X.

On July 10th, surveillance video caught a man stealing a dog outside Port Place Shopping Centre in Nanaimo. Molly was later found in a backyard in Parksville almost three weeks later. A suspect was identified. He was arrested on outstanding charges, but did not admit to stealing the dog.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Jaeger, you are asked to contact Constable Mike Penton of the Nanaimo RCMP at 250-754-2345 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
