Don’t put the motorcycle away yet – Santa’s Capital City Toy Run on this Sunday

Share

It’s back for a second straight year.

This Sunday (September 25th) will see riders of all types of motorbikes set out for a short run up the Peninsula, in support of CFAX Santa’s Anonymous.

Everyone is welcome to join the ride, and the “entry fee” is either a minimum $10 cash donation, or an unwrapped toy. Cash and toys will all go to the long-running CFAX Christmas charity.

According to co-organizer Jeremy Vail, over $5,000 in toys was raised last year, as well as more than $2,000 in cash from a convoy of over 400 riders. This year they hope to exceed those totals, with a goal of attracting over 500 riders.

The starting point of the ride is at the Save On Foods store parking lot, at 3510 Blanshard (near Uptown). Riders can meet as early as 9am, with the ride set to begin at exactly 10am.

It ends at the Victoria Flying Club at about 11:30am.

So don’t put away your bike for the winter yet, you still have some good work to do!
