Firefighters could deliver your pizza this Saturday!

Share

For the fifth year in a row, the Victoria Fire Department has partnered with Domino’s Pizza in Victoria to reward customers with the potential for a free pizza during Fire Prevention Week.

As the storm howls through this Saturday, October 15, Victoria residents in single family homes, duplexes and townhouses can call the Quadra location of Domino’s Pizza at (250) 405-2848 between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. and they may find their pizza is delivered aboard a fire truck!

With the customer’s permission, firefighters will inspect household smoke alarms to make sure they are working. Those with functioning smoke alarms will get their pizza for FREE!

If a home smoke alarm requires new batteries, the firefighters will provide and replace the batteries. The Victoria Fire Department may also arrange for a return visit to install a smoke alarm for residents who require and qualify for free installation.

The City of Victoria is also reminding residents:

  • Install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of your home.
  • When a smoke alarm sounds, get outside and stay outside.
  • Test your smoke alarms monthly.
  • Replace the batteries every six months.
  • Replacing your smoke alarms every 10 years is recommended.
