For the 18th time, local businessman Gordy Dodd served his Thanksgiving Meal at the Our Place shelter, on Monday.
Hundreds of turkeys and over 500lbs of vegetables and potatoes were served to over 1500 people, up from 1200 last year.
The meal started at 4pm at Our Place on Pandora, with line ups starting before that.
According to Our Place Director of Communications, Grant McKenzie, demand is growing. McKenzie says many are not homeless, but those whose incomes are insufficient to make ends meet.
