Don’t let this bout of warmer weather trick you. According to Environment Canada, more snowfall and cold weather are expected this week.

The latest long-term forecast this morning from Environment Canada indicates snow could return to the Captial Region by Wednesday.

The flurries are more likely over higher terrain such as the Westshore and Highlands, although the expected accumulations are currently relatively minimal.

Environment Canada is forecasting a second storm on Sunday calling for a 30 per cent chance of snow with temperatures dropping below the freezing mark.

Of course, the weather outlook could change as the week progresses – but after our last snowfall, it’s better to be prepared than not.
