You know your fudge is good when you have been invited back to Hollywood for the second year in a row.
Sooke-based Fudge In A Round was first asked to be a part of a pre-Emmy swag bag party in Hollywood last year.
This year, the fudge company has been invited back, but this time to a pre-Oscar award ceremony to hand out some of their fudge in a swag-bag to some of the biggest movie stars.
“We are not Fudge In A Round with you when we say: We have been invited BACK to Hollywood, one of very few Canadians,” owners Kelly and Paul DeRocco expressed in a statement.
“The previous venture was overwhelming, but this tops the fudge! Our small business was scouted again to be a participant in a Celebrity Swag Bag, this time celebrating the 2017 Oscar Awards in Hollywood, California!”
The fudge company will be among 60 other vendors and only three other Canadian ones at the event.
Kelly and Paul will leave for Hollywood on Thursday. They will meet over 130 stars up for nomination for the Oscar Awards – but the biggest star will be the fudge, all the way from Sooke, Vancouver Island, British Columbia!
Fudge in a Round is available at Sooke Sweet and Pop Shoppe at 6250 Sooke Rd.
