Victoria Royals @ Lethbridge Hurricanes is on Shaw TV tonight

The Royals will have their hands full Friday night as they take on the streaking Lethbridge Hurricanes, who have set a torrid pace with 9 victories in their last 10 games.

Victoria is coming off a 3-1 defeat in Medicine Hat on Wednesday and will be looking to halt their current 2-game mini losing streak.

This contest will mark the 4th time this season that the Royals feature on Shaw TV. They’ve scored at least 3 goals in every game, and are 2-1-0 with the nation’s eyes upon them.

Their last TV appearance resulted in a 6-2 victory over the Kelowna Rockets way back on November 22nd.

Puck drop is at 6:00 pm.

Highlights from the last game

Royals forward Matthew Phillips scored his 40th goal in his 56th game on Wednesday, becoming the 2nd fastest player in franchise history, and the quickest Royal to do so. Ryan Howse of the former Chilliwack Bruins holds the franchise record, doing so in two fewer games.

The kid’s on fire!

Goaltender Griffen Outhouse was named first star of the game for the 2nd time in the last 3 games, and over his last 8 starts has stopped an outstanding 93.5% of shots.

Pull out your Royals jersey, prep your voicebox, and get ready to change the fate of a hockey game with some good ol’ fashioned yelling!

The action begins with puck drop at 6:00 p.m. Watch live on Shaw TV or listen in on The Zone at 91-3!
