Share

Police are investigating a rash of tire slashings overnight in the area of Craigflower Road near the Galloping Goose Regional Trail.

VicPD spokesperson Bowen Osoko said approximately 40 vehicles have had slashed tires and officers are canvassing the area for more vehicles.

West Shore RCMP are also warning commuters of screws and broken glass being found along the Galloping Goose and bike lanes between Wilbert Rd and Craigflower Road along the Island Highway.

Police say it is too early to know if these cases are related.

If you or someone you know woke up to this rather unfortunate experience, you are asked to call VicPD non-emergency line at (250) 995-7654.

A bulk file number has been started to gather all the information – 17-9146.
